Buying Administrator - Amsterdam

Help shape the collections behind premium made-to-order fashion

Every season, thousands of garments begin with the right fabric. As Buying Administrator, you make sure those materials are available, correctly processed, and ready long before they become part of the final collection. From working with renowned European suppliers to coordinating new seasonal fabrics and supporting internal teams, your work has a direct impact on the quality our customers experience.

What makes this role interesting?

No two weeks are the same. One day you're discussing new fabric introductions with a supplier, the next you're ensuring stock levels are accurate, processing customer-owned materials, or helping colleagues find the right trims for a new collection.

You'll work closely with colleagues across Product, Sales, Operations and IT, giving you a broad view of the entire product journey—from selecting fabrics to delivering finished garments.

What you'll be doing

Supplier & Collection Management

• Build long-term relationships with international fabric suppliers and mills.

• Coordinate the seasonal introduction of new fabrics and linings.

• Help determine the best matching trims, linings and components for each fabric.

• Monitor supplier performance, purchasing volumes and material quality.

Product & Material Administration

• Maintain product information within the Product Data Management (PDM) system.

• Keep material prices, stock levels and availability accurate and up to date.

• Manage both the physical and digital material archives.

• Coordinate the distribution of fabric and lining sample books.

Purchasing & Internal Support

• Process orders involving customer-supplied fabrics.

• Support internal teams with material-related questions.

• Follow up on purchasing administration and supplier invoicing.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and keep everything running smoothly.

About you

You enjoy creating order in a fast-moving environment and naturally notice the details others overlook. You're someone who takes ownership, communicates easily with different stakeholders, and likes working with both systems and people.

You'll also bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Textiles or a related field.

• Knowledge of textiles and garment materials.

• Experience within the fashion industry is an advantage.

• Strong organisational skills and a structured way of working.

• A proactive mindset and the confidence to work independently.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
